New Release: The Titan Chrono Collection

If you're looking to add a bold, high quality yet affordable sports watch to your collection, look no further than our new Titan Chrono series. The craftsmanship, artistic design and impeccable details are what makes these watches truly effortless timepieces.

Here's a look at what Steve, the founder of Forge & Foster, had to say about the new Titan Chrono series, Magnate, Baron and Sentinel.

What was the inspiration behind the new Titan Chrono Series?

I’ve been wanting to expand our Titan collection for a while since its release, and I knew the chronograph collection would be the first expansion from the day we released our Titan skeleton models in late 2020. After seeing the success of our Titan collection, the chronograph collection was the natural progression.

How does the Titan Chrono stand out from the rest of the collection?

Generally, chronograph watches are more sporty in nature. We incorporated a sporty herringbone texture dial, and of course, our Seiko Chronograph movement in the watch. The current models are skeletonized, which offers a completely different appeal based on your personal preferences.

What’s your favourite feature of the new Titan Chrono Series?

No particular favourite feature, but what I do like that we’ve recently done with this collection is we have introduced C3 Superluminova, which gives strong visibility in dark areas after sun exposure.

This feature will come in future models of our skeleton models as well.

How did you approach the design process?

I’ve always been a fan of tonneau(barrel)-case watches, but I don’t always feel that most brands create them in a way that I’d like to see them reflected.

From a personal perspective, I find most tonneau watches to be far too expressive for an everyday piece, as they generally incorporate features like large Arabic numerals or bright colours. It’s just not my cup of tea.

We’ve had a growing interest in this style of watch for a while, and I wanted to do it justice.

In terms of the case design, we tried something new by using 4 bevelled grooves on each corner of the watch, which gives it a fresh, striking aesthetic. With the dial, I explored a herringbone texture as I felt it gives a unique characteristic that you generally don’t see in watches, and it blends with the case design well.

How would you style this watch?

I honestly envisioned this as the everyday man’s watch — and as men, that generally means a t-shirt and jeans — or in winter, a long-sleeved shirt. Pretty much a simple, casual look, but with a bold, stylish casual watch.

Who would you say this watch is made for?

If you generally wear casual styles, there’s no better piece for the everyday wardrobe than our Titan watches. It has the perfect wrist presence for your outfit.

Out of the series, which is your personal favourite model?

Easily the Magnate (black). I’ve always been a fan of black watches. Nothing appears more bold and expressive, and remarkably, our collection has lacked black watches for a while.
